January 2nd brought our 18th wedding anniversary! We headed off to Mel, about 2 hours outside of Vienna...
There is a gorgeous Abbey in Melk which is definitely worth the trip!:)
Of course, again I wasn't alowed to atke pictures of the inside of the abbey. But it is gorgeous inside and I think the church attached to it may be the prettiest in all of Europe ( including Saint Peter's in Rome). It was orignally built as a palace and was given to the monks by the rulers before the Hapsburg family. It was used as a place the Hapsburg Royal fmily would stay when they would come to this part of Austria.
On the way home we got to ride in a "Harry Potter" train!:)
And it even snowed!!:)
And after a great anniversary dinner...it was time for a snowball fight!:)
Here's hoping the next 18 years are as wonderful as the last 18 years have been!:) Love you, Guy!
